We are pleased to announce St Helens Neighbourhood House has given us a grant to update the electronics and VHF radio aboard our RIB “Larapuna“. This will bring the outdate equipment up to date with contemporary systems. The existing gear is 12 years old and very much not capable in the modern era of rescue services. St Helens Marine Rescue is deeply appreciative of the generosity and wonderful support from St Helens Neighbourhood House.

Modern navigation and sonar will add enormously to the safety of our volunteers.
VHF Radio is absolute in contemporary communications.
