Larapuna

The Rescue Vessel Larapuna is a Gemini centre console 4.5 metre rigid inflatable (RIB), commissioned in October 2010.
RV Larapuna is powered by a 50HP Evinrude E-Tec outboard and is equipped with:
- a Seiwa Barracuda 8″ GPS Chartplotter;
- a Garmin depth sounder;
- EPIRB and all safety equipment including PFD’s with PLB’s and flares; and
- a bilge pump.
She is registered for two crew and five passengers.
The purchase of RV Larapuna was made possible by a generous contribution from the Cruising Yacht Club of Australia’s Solas Fund.
The vessel was named after our magnificent stretch of coastline, the Bay of Fires, known to Aborigines as Larapuna.
